Cheatsheets
Some nifty formatted Cheatsheets that draw on infochimps.org datasets. The XLS files are excel spreadsheets used to create the files.
A caveat though -- the data in the main infochimps repository is scrupulously handled by automation, with minimal hand-editing and fully-traceable provenance. These pages were made for fun, and mostly by hand, and a few years ago. I use them, and I assmbled them with care -- but don't go launching Mars Rovers with these, and if they fall short of ideal please don't let it reflect on the value of the infochimps project.
- Scale Landmarks - this is the massive three-page version of the back of our SxSWi handout. For the full range of each physical variable (distance, time, force, etc), it gives a tangible example of something at each order of magnitude. if you want to know how the speed of tetonic drift compares to the speed of a snail, or need to picture "1 nanometer" or "the mass of a living cell", grab this.
- Periodic Table
- Physical and Mathematical Constants
- Physical Info [XLS] - original excel file for Physical Info, etc
- ASCII, ANSI and Symbol Font Chart
- Dimensions and Properties of Nuts, Bolts, Screws and Fasteners
- Decimal Equivalents for Screws and Machining
- Dimensions and Properties of AN (Military/Aviation grade) Fasteners
- MechanicalInfo: Fasteners and Machining [XLS] - original excel file
Two onesheets useful for tournament scrabble players. Note!!! These have not been updated to the newest dictionary (TWL06)!
