I require a list of tourist attractions from around the world to use on a travel website. The information should include description of the attraction, address, telephone number, geocode and some form of classification to identify the attraction (e.g. landmark, monument, museum etc).
Does anyone know if such a list exists? Wikitravel don’t have a dump of their data and it’s probably too detailed and unstructured to be of much use anyway e.g. the Eiffel Tower page includes lots of stuff about restaurants as well.
Thanks,
Dave

I am a business development manager and am currently working on a proof of concept for a life coaching company. I need to buy a data set of individuals to test the concept with by sending an online survey. Our target market are: Mid-high net worth individual’s (ABC1’s), professional people with a high disposable income. Statistics also show us that many people who decide to see a life coach are in their early 40s when they make this decision and over two thirds of the people who turn to a life coach to help them improve their lives are women.
Do you have any data sets that you feel would include this target market that we could purchase to send the online survey to?
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards
Karen Murphy

I am looking for a data set that will tell me total number of credit cards per and total credit limit, aggregated by zip code. I won’t need every zip code in the country, but rather a subset of a little less than 1200 zip codes (mostly in major metro areas). An example of a row might be:
Zip/# Cards/Total Limit
90210 16,023 $67,000,000
I am willing pay for this data and may be willing to pay extra if the data is as of June 2009 (as opposed to current).

I am now retired from the biz, but I was a music dj for twenty years and the thing I needed BADLY for show prep every day was a list of TIME SPECIFIC things… Like the 10 most popular things to do between 3pm-7pm or things related to a word or place in a song title that were trivia related, like “Winelight” and I could have a list of the 10 most popular kinds of light, or wine or if the song title was “Just the two of us” the most popular things that come in pairs, you know? ANYTHING song title related or morning/afternoon drive related or even midday related…
I am a student at Columbia working on a database project for a graduate-level course. My project is a web application that enables a municipality to pose open-ended questions to their constituency via social media platforms, collect and organize responses to these questions using a ThinkTank App installation, and then analyze various clustering and classification metrics of the response set through a custom interface. Does anyone have a data set of Twitter text responses to government-related questions/ topics (ideally composed of 500 or more responses). I have built a data set
using Twitter’s search API and various municipal terms, but the majority of the tweets do not exhibit the syntax of a response or suggestion. I plan to open-source this project and continue development after I demonstrate the proof-of-concept for the course.
Thank you,
Ryan Bubinski

I am looking for the political blogs network data set. This set was used in the paper published by ZHOU et al (titled “Graph clustering based on structural/attribute similarities”). The paper stated that it could be found at “http://www-personal.umich.edu/mejn/netdata” but I was not able to locate it there. I then came to this web site thinking that I might find it here, and it seems that I have. However, when I downloaded the file I am not able to figure out how I get at the data. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I’m looking for “social graph” datasets which show peoples profiles, friends, followers, likes, dislikes, posts, locations, Gender, etc hopefully all keyed on email addresses.
