a year, and in others a date-formatting template instance.

field descriptions and to cull spurious field values

Also, use the template definitions to convert positional-parameters
to uniformly named-parameters

Many of these tables are “subclassed” — for example all of the
infobox_olympics_[COUNTRY] templates. Help identify and unify these
subclassed objects
